In the current environment minimising costs is the key to ensuring continued business stability and retaining the capability to ride out the current storm to be in a position of advantage when the economy turns around.

In order to achieve these cost minimisations you need to ensure you have the right systems in place to support you. Implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) is a step that will provide the structure you need.

As the aim is to minimise costs, it is then essential to ensure you can implement an LMS quickly and cost effectively.

A lot of hype is currently being placed behind the new kid on the block of online learning. With the recent global release of smart phones, companies are starting to envisage a world in which they can train their employees no matter their location.

Whilst this concept is automatically appealing to Learning areas everywhere, there is little information currently in the public domain about the potential issues you might face integrating this type of learning into your existing online learning infrastructure. This paper focuses on the practicalities of training people using mobile devices and the supporting framework required to make such training meaningful to a corporate audience.

After a positive growth period, our Sydney office is moving to larger premises - and this time, we've got 2 whole floors to ourselves! In addition, we have also opened our doors to New Zealand, with the new office headed up by NZ Branch Manager, Mark Heard.

Our new North Sydney office is only just round the corner on the Pacific Highway, and will house both Head Office and the Sydney Branches for the entire ComOps Group of companies.

With the Sydney move scheduled for the first week of April, these two offices will be a great addition to our existing offices across India, Brisbane, Newcastle and Melbourne.

Mobile or M-Learning is a term that represents the logical progression of online learning from a PC/Notebook-bound experience to an 'access anywhere' information and knowledge sharing platform based on mobile phone technology. In other words, to access online learning, students are no longer bound to a PC (Fixed location) or Laptop (Limited or expensive internet access points) and can experience a rich and dynamic learning experience through their mobile phone.

HCS realises the importance of learning without boundaries and has already invested heavily in R&D to leverage the convenience and economic benefits of M-Learning.

The latest edition of our newsletter is available now...so register here to join the mailing list...this edition focuses on Learning without boundaries.

Our research has shown that a major factor in employee churn is a lack of development opportunities or visible training programs that will help enhance job skills. Considering the high cost of on boarding and training new employees, this is obviously an area that needs to be addressed.

Visible, easily accessible and well planned learning pathways act as excellent internal PR for new recruits and demonstrate that the hiring organisation intends to invest time in their development.

Many companies have now implemented and embedded Learning and Performance management systems within the enterprise. In the years since the initial go live, these systems have been steadily accumulating valuable data about the learning and development activities and practices within these organisations.

Now it's time to turn this data into insights, enabling you to make faster, smarter decisions!

Put the power of information into the hands of the business. See your data in a way that is meaningful and easy to interpret. Become proactive instead of reactive. Get the right information, to the right people, at the right time.

Would you also like to easily be able to:

    • Identify the gaps in learning and development activities
    • See the most popular courses and development activities or the least popular
    • Accurately produce statistics around compliance programs
    • Proactively track users who are in danger of non-compliance
    • Report on LMS and PMS data in conjunction with other organisational systems such as HRIS, OH&S/Workers Compensation or recruitment databases
    • Quantify your systems ROI and much more...

There are a large number of Business Intelligence (BI) applications that can be used to design, manage and deliver business reports and analysis. The way that you organise and present the data in your reports can make the difference between clarity and lost opportunity. However, for the untrained the operation and construction of reports can be a daunting task.

HCS are able to provide advice and a range of reporting options, ranging from HTML reporting and Crystal Reports accessed from within the application, to reporting dashboards/portals using sophisticated Business Intelligence tools.

Leverage your investment - Transform your organisation into an information driven enterprise. Click here to join the mailing list and download the BI enablement loop whitepaper.
